Our Mission

Address gender inequality.
Rebuild belonging.

GoGirlGo exists to tackle the structural and social barriers that push girls out of sport. We do this through community-led experiences, school outreach, and evidence-based advocacy — creating the conditions for young women to stay active on their own terms in India.

Our Vision

A world where sport
builds every girl up.

We envision a future where gender is never a barrier to participation in sport — where girls grow up with the same access, confidence, and encouragement as their peers, and where physical activity is a lifelong source of strength, community, and joy.

"Teenage girls are not voluntarily leaving sport — they are being pushed out as a consequence of deep-rooted gender stereotypes."

Our Values

What we stand for
every single day.

These aren't words on a wall. They're the principles that shape every talk we give, every hike we plan, and every blog post we write.

Equity

We believe in fair access to sport for all young people, regardless of gender, income, background, or ability. Equity means removing barriers — not just opening doors.

Accessibility

Every experience we create is deliberately low-pressure and beginner-friendly. If you haven't done sport in years — or ever — you're exactly who we're here for.

Evidence-Based Thinking

Our programmes are informed by research in sports psychology, gender studies, and youth development. We don't guess — we read, test, and adapt.

Community Impact

We measure success in real community touchpoints: talks attended, hikes completed, and girls who come back for a second experience.

1–2 hiking events per season
3–5 talks per term
1500+ students reached

Curiosity

We ask uncomfortable questions, challenge assumptions, and stay open to better ways of doing things. Curiosity is how we grow — and how we help others grow too.

Our Goals

What we're
working towards.

Increase awareness of gender inequality in youth sports participation

Encourage early and diverse exposure to sport through low-pressure events

Promote mental and physical wellbeing through active lifestyles

Create accessible entry points for beginners with no experience required

Use research and blogs to inform practical, evidence-based solutions
